Breakfast Bread

If you know me, you know I love breakfast food…. Along with my cup of morning coffee! Overnight breakfast casserole recipes are always handy to hand to pull out and prepare for company. Breakfast Bread is a soft egg, cheese, and ham dish with a crunchy crouton topping. This is also a great recipe to pull out for those left overs you may have after a large meal. Just cube up the ham, add it to the casserole and you have the next mornings breakfast!


Breakfast Bread


8 slices cubed bread

½ lb. shredded cheddar cheese

1 lb. cubed ham

3 eggs

2 c. milk

½ tsp. salt

¼ tsp. dry mustard

1 stick butter or margarine


Place five slices of cubed bread in greased 9×13 inch pan. Sprinkle cheese and ham evenly over cubed bread. Beat eggs. Add milk, mustard, and salt. Pout evenly over ham. Melt butter and mix with remaining cubed bread, and sprinkle over top. Place in refrigerator 7 hours or overnight. Bake 1 hour at 325°. Check in 45 minutes.
